We offer a wide range of high quality digital inkjet coders to mark many different surfaces and forms while on the conveyor. We have several models, from thermal inkjet coders (TIJ) to the piezoelectric coders, you will certainly find the ideal encoder for your product.
Thermal Inkjet Coders (TIJ)
The range of Thermal Ink Jet Coders from Mark-o-Print is the most advanced on the market, having already received several awards for quality and innovation across Europe. Thanks to the TIJ Technology it is possible to obtain amazing printing quality, using HP® or Lexmark™ ink cartridges. Clean and maintenance free systems, they are especially suited for the food and pharmaceutical industries, since there is no release of solvents of any kind.
The main advantages of these systems are:
- Clean technology from HP® or Lexmark™. An ink cartridge lasts for thousands of impressions (depending on the resolution and on the text to print, but usually a cartridge lasts for between 10,000 to 100,000 impressions);
- By replacing the cartridge it means that you will have a completely new print head;
- With the exception of cartridge changing, no further maintenance is needed;
- The control unit is quite powerful and allows many functions;
- Prints constant and variable texts, configurable timers, images and barcodes from the EAN, ITF to Code 39. You can print 2D and Datamatrix codes as an option;
- Time and dates, expiration date calculation, date can change at any time (instead of changing at 0 a.m.);
- Automatic code shift printing, without needing to stop printing;
- Security: Lock critical menus with a password. Let the operators do what really matters without them changing important settings;
- Print speeds up to 400m/min with HP® cartridges or 400m/min with Lexmark™ cartridges. Print resolution from 25 to 600dpi with HP® cartridges or 900dpi with Lexmark™ cartridges (high resolutions require slower printing speeds);
- Top and side printing (easily configurable from right to left or from left to right);
- Print height up to 100mm;
- With multiple heads you can increase print height or you can print on two different sides of the product (opposite sides or side and above) or even print different texts in different lines (different products, speeds ...) with a single controller;
- Product detector sensor included. Several special options such as an encoder for variable-speed production lines, alarm lamps, extra reservoir of ink to avoid multiple changes of cartridge, top support and much more;
- Various types of ink for different surfaces. Optional UV lamp for UV inks for difficult surfaces;
- Estimated ink consumption to determine the number of remaining prints. Alerts signals when the ink drops to a certain level;
- Includes software for text creation, "Editor3". Create your texts easily on the PC and send them by USB, RS232, RS422 or LAN (optional). Once submitted, no PC is required for text printing;

Piezoelectric Coders
This technology works based on piezoelectric pulses. Voltage fed through piezoelectric crystals or ceramic chambers causes a change in the shape of the chambers. This causes the colored ink to be pressed through the nozzles. The Trident print heads produce excellent printing results.
The main advantages of these systems are:
- The control unit is quite powerful and allows many functions;
- Prints constant and variable texts, configurable timers, images and barcodes from the EAN, ITF to Code 39. You can print 2D and Datamatrix codes as an option;
- Time and dates, expiration date calculation, date can change at any time (instead of changing at 0 a.m.);
- Automatic code shift printing, without needing to stop printing;
- Security: Lock critical menus with a password. Let the operators do what really matters without them changing important settings;
- Print speeds up to 200m/min. Horizontal printing resolution up to 300dpi (300dpi for lower than 60m/min speeds);
- Top and side printing (easily configurable from right to left or from left to right);
- Print height up to 400mm;
- Product detector sensor included. Several special options such as an encoder for variable-speed production lines, alarm lamps, extra reservoir of ink to avoid multiple changes of cartridge, top support and much more;
