Model 5300 Description
Weber’s Model 5300 system is redefining the meaning of versatility in pressure-sensitive label printing and application. In addition to offering a broad selection of high-quality print engines that feature various print resolutions and label dispensing rates, the Model 5300 system is available with optional RFID print-encode engines.
Standard direct- and thermal-transfer print engines from manufacturers Zebra, Sato and others produce text, barcodes and graphic images at 203 or 300 dpi. The Zebra-based RFID models combine these printing capabilities with the encoding and verification of RFID inlays to meet EPC Gen 2 protocols.
The Model 5300 printer-applicator system’s modular design provides one standard system, yet a choice of six distinct methods of label application that are accurate to +/-0.03 inch: Tamp Blow, Air Blow, Direct Tamp, Swing-Tamp, Twin-Tamp and Corner-Wrap.
The Model 5300 Series operates with Weber's Legitronic® labeling software, which simplifies label formatting, editing and printing. MGS offers a wide range of labels and provides application-specific ribbons for thermal-transfer operations. For additional information about this topic see pages Labels and Consumables.
The main advantages of these systems are:
- Modular design provides six different application configurations;
- Monitor operation via a web browser;
- One-to-one media consumption reduces downtime;
- Capable of interfacing with external PLCs;
- Available with RFID capability;

5 Special Versions Available
This system is also available in 5 special versions, the Model 5300: Twin-Tamp Series, Corner-Wrap Series, RFID Series, Pallets Series and Pallets Dual Series.
The Twin-Tamp version has a special Twin-Tamp applicator in order to apply labels on 2 sides of the same product (front and side or side and rear), thanks to a fantastic swing arm. You don't need to stop the conveyor and the system is RFID ready as an option.
The Corner-Wrap version has a special Corner-Wrap applicator to enable application on boxes edges. The tamp applies the label on the front of the product and rotates so that the tamp itself gently presses the label against the product as it moves, without the need for external rolls and without stopping the conveyor. RFID is optional.
The RFID version has a RFID printing module and a special label rejection system in which the labels after being encoded are read and validated, and the invalid labels are automatically captured by a special tamp.
The Pallets version has a strengthened arm and stand, specially designed for printing and applying labels to pallets.
The Pallets Dual is a special version of the Model 5300 Pallets with an articulated arm which allows label application in two adjacent sides of the same pallet, without the need to stop the production line.
For detailed information about the product please see the following brochures: Model 5300; Model 5300 Twin-Tamp; Model 5300 Corner-Wrap; Model 5300 RFID; Model 5300 Pallets; Model 5300 Pallets Dual.
